First, Stefan Logan started the drive with a 21-yard run to move the chains.
Glenn began distributing the ball to several of his receivers. He first found Shawn Gore then followed by an Ernest Jackson first down reception and then Logan again.
The Lions marched down into the Calgary red zone, but fizzled out and settled for an 18-yard field goal by Paul McCallum to tie the game up at threes.

BC, looking to tie the game back up, went driving shortly thereafter. Logan rushed for a 17-yard gain and then caught a ball and turned it into a 14-yard gain on a third down and three gamble, that paid off.
After a Shawn Lemon sack and forced fumble, which tied a league record, it forced the Lions to kick a field goal, this time from 47 yards away to cut the deficit to four points, 10-6.
On the next series, it was a short one for the Stampeders. After a failed run attempt that put the Stamps five yards back, Tate threw an interception to Dante Marsh, his second on the season on a pass that was intended for receiver, Anthony Parker.
With the home crowd on their feet after the big turnover, the Lions were hoping to capitalize on the momentum.
Three plays after Marsh’s interception, the
momentum swung again when Glenn tried finding Gore in the end zone, but
was picked off by Calgary’s defensive back, Fred Bennett.
On the next offensive series for Calgary, Bo-Levi Mitchell entered the game. He quickly went three-for-three passing for 55 yards on those tosses.
After a pass interference call in the end zone, Bryant Moniz came into the game and rushed in for the one-yard plunge with three minutes left to play in the half to give the Stamps the 17-6 advantage.
This spurred the game into a shootout to finish the first half.
After the ensuing kickoff, Glenn went into two-minute drill mode orchestrating a seven play drive that was capped off by an Emmanuel Arceneaux 46-yard touchdown strike to cut the lead to 17-13 with 1:01 left in the half.
Mitchell came back out firing, finding McDanial for back-to-back receptions , the first one for five and the other for 36 yards.
With 0:23 left in the half, Mitchell found Rogers for his second major on the night, this time from 24 yards out to give the Stampeders the 24-13 lead at the break.
In the final 2:42 in the first half, both teams combined to score 21 points.
With a quick flurry to end the half, the second began to slow down with both teams trying to find ways to stop the other’s offence.
Through each team’s first two possessions in the second half, no team was able to drive down the field until BC’s third possession.
After a 38-yard punt return from Logan, the Lions began their drive in Calgary territory. After a three-yard rush by Logan and a four-yard reception for Gore, the Lions called McCallum’s number, where he hit a 27-yard field goal to make the score, 24-16.
Following the BC field goal, Calgary followed with their own drive that covered 51 yards on six plays resulting in a Paredes 26-yard field goal.
At the end of three quarters, Calgary owned a 27-16 lead.
The first play in the fourth, Glenn forced a ball to Jackson, which was intercepted by seven-year vet, Keon Raymond halting the Lions’ promising drive.
Once again, the Stampeders were able to make the Lions pay for their mistake, this time Paredes booted a 41-yard field goal to extend their to 14 points, 30-16.
The Calgary defence continued to give the Lions fits in the fourth, with Glenn and the offence unable to really make a strong push.
With under three to play, Paredes kicked a 14-yard field goal to make it a 33-16 game.
Calgary will have a bye next week as they host the Western Final, while BC will wait to see where they will play. The Lions will either travel to Edmonton or crossover to the East to play the second place East Division team.
