Millan stymies Tulsa, Denver wins 4-1

The Denver Cutthroats relied on the sparkling performance of Kieran Millan in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Tulsa Oilers.
Denver was led by Garrett Bembridge, who had one goal. Bembridge scored 13:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Denver. Troy Schwab picked up the assist.
Tulsa was unable to stop the Cutthroats from sending pucks towards the net, and Denver eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.
Denver also got points from Schwab, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Matt Glasser also scored for Denver. Other players who recorded assists for Denver were TJ Fox, A.J. Gale, and Michael Trebish, who contributed one a piece.
The Oilers stifled the Cutthroats' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Tulsa forced Denver goalie Millan to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.
The Oilers were led by Thomas Beauregard, who scored the team's only goal. Beauregard scored 11:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tulsa.
The Cutthroats' Millan stopped 36 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Denver totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play. Shane Madolora made 41 saves for Tulsa on 45 shots. The Oilers totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
