Konrad Reeder grabbed one point to lead Rapid City to a 2-1 victory over the Wichita Thunder. Rapid City's offense rang up 35 shots on Wichita's net.
Rapid City also got a goal from Jesse Schultz as well. Other players who recorded assists for Rapid City were Tristin Llewellyn, who had two and Jared Brown and Scott Brannon, who each chipped in one.
The Thunder's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Wichita finished with 30 penalty minutes.
The Thunder were led by RG Flath, who scored the team's only goal. Flath scored on the power play 4:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wichita. Wichita had taken the advantage when Rapid City's Brett Kostolansky got sent off for too many men. Andrew Martens provided the assist.
Tim Boron recorded 16 saves for Rapid City. Rapid City incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Torrie Jung made 33 saves for the Thunder on 35 shots. Wichita registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
