Storm Assigned Three as Regular Season Winds Down

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm have acquired defensive linemen Rony Barrow and David Washington along with defensive back Nick Addison, announced Storm Vice President of Football Operations Jeff Gooch.
“The team needed to boost the defense for the final two games of the season,” said Gooch. “We believe that all three of the players can make a difference as we push forward to the playoffs.”
Addison (6-2, 185, Bethune-Cookman) rejoins the Storm after playing with the team earlier in the season. The Spoto High School (Riverview, FL) product played in four games for the Storm, recording 14 tackles and four pass breakups. He began his professional career with the Houston Texans in 2014.
Barrow (6-2, 295, Bethune-Cookman) joins the Storm for his rookie season in the Arena Football League. The Brooklyn, New York native began his collegiate career at Nassau Community College before settling in at Bethune-Cookman University. Barrow started in 23-of-25 games for the Wildcats, tallying 75 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, five sacks and an interception. He earned All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference honors for his performance during his senior season.
Washington (6-2, 320, Faulkner) enters his rookie season in the AFL with the Storm. He played at Hinds Community College before transferring to Faulkner University. Washington played in 23 games for Eagles, recording 59 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and three pass breakups.
To make room on the roster, the team placed Jack linebacker Rick-J Hill, wide receiver Phillip Barnett, and offensive lineman Alfred McCullough on injured reserve.
