Ty Rimmer was superb between the pipes for the Quad City Mallards, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over Rapid City. Quad City was paced by Matt Boyd, who tallied one goal and one assist. Boyd scored 5:32 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Quad City. Gabriel Levesque provided the assist.
The Mallards average 33.1 shots on goal per game, but only sent 25 pucks on net against Rapid City.
Quad City additionally got points from Levesque, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Quad City came via Gergo Nagy, who had two.
