Orlando Predators Press Release
ORLANDO – The Orlando Predators dropped a 69-56 decision to the reigning American Conference champion Philadelphia Soul
on Thursday evening at CFE Arena. Orlando is now 3-2 on the season,
while Philadelphia earned its first victory of 2014 for a 1-3 overall
record.
The two teams traded score through much of the game, as Orlando and
Philadelphia each put 14 points on the board in the first, third, and
fourth quarters. However, a lop-sided second period left the Predators
in a 41-28 hole at the midway point. Philadelphia outscored Orlando
27-14 in the second quarter, and the Predators were never able to
overcome the deficit.
Predators quarterback Jason Boltus threw for 348 yards and eight
touchdowns in the contest, but the effort fell short as the Soul offense
scored on 10 possessions. Orlando WR Greg Carr led all receivers on the evening, as he totaled 154 yards and four touchdowns on seven receptions. WR Khalil Paden hauled in three score of his own, posting 90 yards on six catches.
The Orlando Predators return to CFE Arena in Week 6 to take on the Tampa Bay Storm
on Saturday, April 19th in the second edition of the 2014 “War on I-4.”
