Tulsa completes comeback, beats Denver, 4-3

The Tulsa Oilers climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Denver Cutthroats, 4-3.
Tulsa let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Oilers took a 3-2 advantage on a goal by Blair Macaulay at 8:17 in the second period. Tulsa went down 2-0 after Denver's Daniel Barczuk put the puck home at 13:59 in the first period. After evening things up at 3-3 on a goal by Troy Schwab at 10:46 in the second, the Oilers got the game-winner from Ryan Menei at 18:36 in the third period.
The win gave Tulsa a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.
The Oilers got the win thanks to a great game by Menei, who had two goals and one assist. Menei scored the first of his two goals at 17:38 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Ben Gordon assisted on the tally. Menei's next tally made the score 4-3 Tulsa with 1:24 left in the third period. Adam Pleskach picked up the assist.
Tulsa also got points from Pleskach, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Tulsa came via Scott Macaulay, Drew Fisher, and Craig Cescon, who each chipped in one.
The Cutthroats excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.
Denver additionally got points from Schwab, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Denver also got a goal from Vincent Arseneau as well. In addition, Denver received assists from Lee Moffie, Matt Glasser, Aaron MacKenzie, and Cam Reid, who contributed one each.
Shane Madolora made 21 saves for Tulsa on 24 shots. The Oilers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Denver's Kent Patterson stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Cutthroats incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
