Missouri survives Tulsa comeback, wins 5-3

The Missouri Mavericks, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Missouri and clinched a 5-3 victory.
The Mavericks led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Missouri's Rob Kleebaum's scored at 19:06 in the first period to put the Mavericks up 4-1.
Missouri stifled the Tulsa Oilers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
The Mavericks were helped by Colt King, who had one goal. King scored 13:09 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Missouri. Sebastien Thinel provided the assist. Missouri additionally got points from Andrew Courtney, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Missouri also had goals scored by Anders Franzon and John-Scott Dickson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Missouri were Eric Castonguay, who had two and Trevor Kell, Evan Vossen, and Mike Ramsay, who contributed one a piece.
Tulsa was below its usual level of shot production, taking 20 shots compared to the 27.2 the Oilers average. Tulsa's offense was helped by the efforts of its defensemen, who managed to put 10 shots on net during the game.
The Oilers were led by B Macaulay, who finished with one goal and one assist. Macaulay scored 18:53 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Missouri. Todd Robinson picked up the assist. Others who scored for Tulsa included Nathan Lutz and Adam Pleskach, who each put in one. More assists for Tulsa came via Ryan Menei, Ben Gordon, Jake Obermeyer, and Michel Beausoleil, who each chipped in one.
Erno Suomalainen made 17 saves for Missouri on 20 shots. The Mavericks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Shane Madolora recorded 22 saves for Tulsa. The Oilers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
