The Missouri Mavericks, who led by three goals at one point,
survived a comeback attempt by Missouri and clinched a 5-3 victory. The Mavericks led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Missouri's Rob Kleebaum's scored at 19:06 in the first period to put the Mavericks up 4-1.

Tulsa was below its usual level of shot production, taking 20 shots compared to the 27.2 the Oilers average. Tulsa's offense was helped by the efforts of its defensemen, who managed to put 10 shots on net during the game.
The Oilers were led by B Macaulay, who finished with one goal and one assist. Macaulay scored 18:53 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Missouri. Todd Robinson picked up the assist.
