John Snowden netted a hat trick to lead the St. Charles Chill over the Brampton Beast, 6-3. Snowden's first goal came 12:27 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:42 into the second and at 18:35 into the second. St. Charles outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Chill average 2.4 goals per contest. St. Charles put 32 shots on net during the contest, more than the 16.9 it averages per game.
St. Charles additionally got points from Nick Schneider, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Nicklas Lindberg, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. St. Charles also got a goal from Kyle OKane as well. In addition, St. Charles received assists from Michael MacIntyre, who had two, Travis Ouellette, who had three, and Cameron Cooper, Dan Weiss, Sean Muncy, and Martin Hlinka, who contributed one a piece.
The Chill were unable to stop Brampton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Beast eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.
Brampton was helped by Calin Wild, who registered one goal. Wild scored short handed 6:22 into the third period to make the score 5-3 St. Charles. The Beast played down a man on Andrew Fournier's hooking. Jamie VanderVeeken picked up the assist. Brampton also had goals scored by Tylor Michel and Scotty Howes, who each put in one. More assists for Brampton came via Steve Makway, Tyler Butler, and Brett Smith, who each chipped in one.
St. Charles' starting goalie, Linus Lundin, made 30 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Mark Roof, who stopped one shot. The Chill incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Grant Rollheiser made 26 saves for Brampton on 31 shots. The Beast incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
