HC MIKE HOHENSEE is 12-12 all-time in the Arena Football postseason… He coached the Chicago Rush to an ArenaBowl XX victory in 2006 but has not coached in a playoff game since leaving Chicago in 2010…

WR V’KEON LACEY hauled in a pair of passes for 19 yards and a score in Week 20… He and teammate JARED PERRY both passed ERIC ROGERS’ single-season receiving touchdowns franchise record in Week 19, each raising their 2015 total to 29 apiece… He has caught a franchise-record 107 passes this season… He has a touchdown reception in six straight games… While playing with the Soul last season, Lacey caught a 10-yard pass for a touchdown in the team’s only playoff game in 2014… He has 199 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 20 catches this year against San Jose…

WR JAMAR HOWARD suited up for the first time since Week 5… He caught six passes for 101 yards receiving and a score in his return last week… He has caught a touchdown pass in seven straight games played and recorded triple-digit receiving yards in each of the last four games... He led the Thunder with 10 receptions for 126 yards against the Rattlers in the 2014 AFL Playoffs… Howard last played the SaberCats in Week 5, tallying two catches for 25 yards before going down with an injury…

WR DUANE BROOKS caught two passes for 28 yards and a score last week and added 64 kickoff yards on five returns… He set new single-season franchise records with 1,930 kickoff return yards and is the AFL’s single-season record holder with eight kickoff return touchdowns in 2015… He is the Thunder’s all-time leader in kick return yards (3,180) and touchdowns (8)… He has totaled 275 kickoff return yards and a return for a score in two games against San Jose this year…

DE MARQUIS JACKSON recorded half-a-tackle last week… He is the team’s single-season sacks leader with 7.5 in 2015… In Portland’s only postseason game in 2014, Jackson collected two tackles, including one for a loss…

DE ADRIAN HAMILTON broke up two passes and made a tackle last week… This will be his first-ever playoff game… He has one tackle in one career games against the SaberCats…

DE FRANK TROTTER tallied three tackles a pass breakup last week… This will be his first-ever playoff appearance… He has made 5.5 tackles, forced a fumble and notched a sack against San Jose in 2015…

MLB K.C. OBI recorded 2.5 tackles last week… He is second on the team with 6.5 sacks this year… He is the franchise’s all-time leader in sacks with 11.5 for his two-year career… He collected nine tackles and four sacks in three games against San Jose this season… Against Arizona in last year’s playoffs, Obi recorded 4.5 tackles and a sack in the loss…

JLB BRYCE PEILA did not play last week… He has tallied 11.5 tackles against the SaberCats this season… He made 2.5 tackles in the Thunder’s only previous playoff game…

LB DEXTER DAVIS made one tackle last week… He has five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in two games against San Jose this year… This will be his first career playoff game…

DB VARMAH SONIE made six tackles, recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass in last week’s loss… He has intercepted four passes in five games played this season… His interception last week keeps him atop the Thunder’s all-time rank with 13 career interceptions…

DB DE’MON GLANTON led the Thunder with 12 tackles in Week 20… He leads Portland with 71.5 tackles and has made four interceptions this year… He has never played in the postseason…

DB DWIGHT McLEAN collected 5.5 tackles against the Rattlers… He collected 4.5 tackles in last year’s playoff meeting with Arizona… He began his AFL career with the San Jose Sabercats in 2011… McLean recorded five tackles and two pass breakups in Week 17 against San Jose…

SABERCATS: The San Jose Sabercats defeated the LA KISS, 60-38, in Week 20… The 2015 San Jose Sabercats tied the 2014 Cleveland Gladiators for the best regular season record in the history of Arena Football at 17-1… The SaberCats have also set a new League record for most consecutive road victories with 10… San Jose is only the sixth team in AFL history and second team since 1992 to go undefeated on the road in a single-season… The SaberCats outscored their opponents by 22.2 points per game in 2015, the largest average margin of victory in AFL history… San Jose’s defense tied the League record for sacks in a season with 45 in 2015, marking the third time in the last four years the SaberCats have logged more than 40 sacks… San Jose is 6-0 all-time against the Portland Thunder

HC DARREN ARBET is 16-8 all-time in the playoffs and has head coached the SaberCats to three ArenaBowl victories in 2002, 2004 and 2007…

QB ERIK MEYER passed for 120 yards and two touchdowns in limited action last week… He has not thrown an interception in six straight games… He started for the Spokane Shock against San Jose in last year’s AFL Quarterfinals and threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions… Meyer has passed for 831 yards, 22 touchdowns and has thrown two interceptions against the Thunder this year…

FB ODIE ARMSTRONG rushed for 15 yards on three carries last week… He trails Arena Football Hall of Fame selection ANDRE BOWDEN (103) by two rushing touchdowns for third-place in AFL history… He rushed for 26 yards and three touchdowns in two playoff games last year… He rushed four times for 10 yards rushing and two scores in two games against Portland this year…

WR REGGIE GRAY caught four passes for 39 yards receiving against the KISS… He set new single-season franchise receiving records with 162 catches for 1,695 yards and 44 touchdowns in 2015… He caught 15 passes for 212 receiving yards and six scores in the 2014 AFL Playoffs… Gray has compiled 337 receiving yards and 11 touchdown receptions on 36 catches against Portland this season…

WR MAURICE PURIFY caught four passes for 87 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for three more scores in Week 20… As a member of the Rattlers, he was a part of the team’s three consecutive ArenaBowl victories, from 2012-2014… He was named Offensive Player of the Game in ArenaBowl XXV after scoring a championship game record seven receiving touchdowns… He has not played the Thunder since the end of the 2014 season in Arizona when he caught one pass for 11 yards (vs. Portland, 7/20/14)…

WR DARIUS REYNOLDS did not play in Week 20… This will be his first-ever playoff game… He has 101 yards receiving and two touchdowns in two games against Portland this season…

WR D.J. STEPHENS hauled in five passes for 97 yards and a touchdown last week while racking up 68 kickoff return yards on four attempts… His 681 receiving yards are the second-most on the SaberCats…. He has never played in the postseason… Stephens led the SaberCats with 10 catches for 171 yards and three touchdowns when he last played the Thunder in Week 5…

WR BEN NELSON reeled in a team-high six passes for 63 yards against LA… He caught 11 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown in two playoffs games last season… Nelson last played Portland in Week 17 when he caught 11 passes for 72 yards and three scores…

DE DONTE PAIGE-MOSS forced a fumble in last week’s win… He has totaled nine sacks this season… He made half-a-tackle and broke up a pass as a member of the Portland Thunder in the team’s only postseason game last year… Paige-Moss has collected one tackle and a quarterback hurry in two games against his former team this season…

DE RODNEY FRITZ did not record a statistic last week… This will be his first-ever playoff appearance… The last time Fritz opposed the Thunder was in Week 5 when he recorded half-a-tackle…

NG JASON STEWART did not record a statistic last week… He is tied with Arena Football Hall of Famer SYLVESTER BEMBERY for 11th-place in AFL history with 42 career sacks… He collected 5.5 tackles and 3.5 sacks in two games in the 2014 AFL Playoffs… Stewart has recorded one sack and one tackle for a loss against the Thunder this season…

MLB FRANCIS MAKA recovered a fumble, notched half-a-sack and recorded a quarterback hurry last week… He ranks seventh in AFL history with 46.5 career sacks… He tallied two sacks in last year’s playoffs… Maka has recorded three tackles and a sack against the Thunder this year…

JLB DAVID HYLAND led the SaberCats with 5.5 tackles and returned an interception for a score against the KISS… He ranked second on San Jose with 95 tackles in 2015… He made 7.5 tackles and intercepted one pass in two playoff games last year… Hyland collected 9.5 tackles and an interception in two games played against Portland this season…

DB KEN FONTENETTE did not record a statistic in Week 20… He finished the regular season as League’s leading tackler with 146.5 this season, the second-highest single-season total in AFL history… He leads San Jose with a career-high 12 picks this year… He led the SaberCats last playoffs with 16 tackles and two interceptions… Fontenette has registered 34 tackles and five interceptions in three games against Portland in 2015…

DB CLEVAN THOMAS broke up a pair of passes and made four tackles last week… He played in two games in the 2014 AFL Playoffs and made three tackles… Thomas has collected seven tackles and an interception against the Thunder this year…

DB FRED OBI recorded four tackles and two pass break ups in Week 20… This will be his first-ever playoff game… Obi has made six tackles and has one sack against Portland this season.
