Matt Glasser grabbed one point to lead the Denver Cutthroats to a 2-0 victory over the Tulsa Oilers. Denver's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Tulsa power plays. The Cutthroats was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Denver averages 2.9 goals allowed per game. The Cutthroats relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Jean-Philipp Chabot, AJ Gale and Daniel Barczuk took 17 of the team's 29 shots.
More assists for Denver came via Steve Kaunisto, Troy Schwab, and Garett Bembridge, who each chipped in one.
Tulsa was held below its usual level of production. The Oilers put an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.
Tulsa was led by Adam Pleskach, who took three shots.
John Griggs recorded 18 saves for Denver. The Cutthroats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Oilers' Brad Fogal stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Tulsa incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
