Tulsa rolls over St. Charles, 6-3

The Tulsa Oilers were firing on all cylinders against the St. Charles Chill, and when the final buzzer sounded Oilers emerged with a 6-3 win.
Adam Pleskach had two goals and one assist to lead Tulsa. Pleskach scored the first of his two goals at 8:07 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Tulsa. Todd Robinson provided the assist. Pleskach's next tally made the score 5-2 Tulsa with 18:37 left in the third period. An interference penalty on Michael MacIntyre had put the Oilers on the power play. Ben Gordon picked up the assist.
Tulsa found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Oilers average 3.4 goals per game. Tulsa's defensemen bolstered the Oilers' offensive attack, as they bombarded Robert Moss with 17 shots. Tulsa put 40 shots on net during the contest, more than the 27.1 it averages per game.
Tulsa also got points from Michel Beausoleil, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tulsa also had goals scored by Ryan Menei, Kyle Bochek, and Eric Tallent, who each put in one. In addition, Tulsa received assists from Nathan Lutz, who had two and Blair Macaulay and Ryan Barlock, who contributed one each.
With 26 shots on target during the contest, St. Charles exceeded the 18.7 shots it averages per game this year.
The Chill were helped by Britt Ouelette, who tallied one goal. Ouelette scored 2:31 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Tulsa. Nicklas Lindberg assisted on the tally. Others who scored for St. Charles included TJ Moor and Ryan Berard, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for St. Charles were John Snowden and Martin Hlinka, who each chipped in one.
Shane Madolora recorded 23 saves for the Oilers. Tulsa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Robert Moss made 34 saves for St. Charles on 40 shots. The Chill incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
