The Tulsa Oilers relied on the sparkling performance of Shane Madolora in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Missouri Mavericks. Tulsa was led by Matthew Larke, who tallied one goal. Larke scored 18:27 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Tulsa. Eric Tallent picked up the assist.
By firing 28 shots on goal, the Oilers exceeded the 25.0 shots they average per game this year.
Tulsa additionally got points from Todd Robinson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tulsa also got a goal from Ben Gordon as well. Other players who recorded assists for Tulsa were Michel Beausoleil, who had one.
Missouri could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Mavericks average 3.6 goals per game. Missouri relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Andrew Courtney, Tyler Currier and Evan Vossen took 14 of the team's 27 shots.
In addition, Missouri received assists from Dave Pszenyczny and Trevor Kell, who contributed one each.
Shane Madolora made 26 saves for Tulsa on 27 shots. The Oilers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Mavericks' Shane Owen stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Missouri incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
